Florida Ice and Farm Company

Florida Ice and Farm Company also known as FIFCO was established in 1908. It is an importer of food products and other related products. The company’s headquarters is based in Heredia, Costa Rica.        

With regards to its distribution channels, it operates 12 distribution centres and delivers its products to 16 countries across the world. 

It employs more than 5,500 people in Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, the United States and Mexico. Moreover, its turnover amounts to €3.1 billion.    

The business manages 220 Musmanni stores and 77 MUSI convenience stores. 

FIFCO operates several subsidiaries and some of them are:

• Distribuidora La Florida: food and beverage unit.
• Florida Retail: Musmanni, MUSI, Vinum Store and La Tienda de la Birra
• FIFCO USA: beer company. 
• Florida Real Estate/Hospitality: hospitality projects. 
• Florida Capitales: investments in packaging production and beer company. 

It offers over 1,500 products in different categories such as:   

• Savory grocery: bread, croissant, beans, etc.
• Sweet grocery: cakes, candies, donuts, etc.  
• Drinks: soft drinks, water, energy drinks, etc.  
• Dairy: cheese, butter, yogurt, etc.
• Wine and spirits: beer, tequila, wine, etc. 

The company has developed its private label products which consists of:

• Kern’s: beans, ketchup, fruit juices, etc.
• Musmanni: a range of bread and confectionery
• Nutrivida: oatmeal. soup, cereals, etc.
