Aldi Nord started operating in Denmark in 1977 and became the first discount chain in the country. The firm’s headquarters are based in Copenhagen and the stores are managed by 2 regional offices, one for the east of Denmark and the other for the west.
Moreover, Aldi Denmark has a total of 187 stores across the country and several new stores are opening soon in Odins Brygge, Brande, Mejrup, etc. Denmark’s largest Aldi store, expanding across 1455 sqm, opened in Næstved in 2021.

Aldi Denmark has also reduced food waste by 38% in 2020 and aims to extend that number to 50% by 2050.
