AMI Group
AMI Group is an American food and beverage solutions company specializing in the travel industry. Founded in the early 1980s and headquartered in Santa Monica, California, with additional offices in Atlanta, Miami and Barcelona, the group describes itself as the global leader in food and beverage solutions for airlines, rail lines, cruise lines and the Caribbean market. It serves more than 60 customers worldwide, achieves an annual turnover of around €19.8 million (2023) and employs approximately 40 people.
The company acts as a bridge between food, wine and beverage suppliers and travel-industry buyers, offering integrated services that span culinary design, global sourcing, logistics and co-packing to create customized onboard and on-the-go food and beverage programs. It works with a portfolio of products sourced from more than 200 suppliers.
AMI Group historically operates through four divisions. AMI Inflight supplies food and beverages to over 40 airlines worldwide, providing snacks, fresh and packaged meal components and beverage programs adapted to onboard service constraints. AMI Wines specializes in wine sourcing and distribution, with wines from France, the United States, Germany, Argentina, Chile, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Austria and Portugal among others. AMI Duty Free serves the cruise-line industry with renowned brands and premium beverages, while AMI Caribbean distributes quality beverages across roughly 13 Caribbean islands and Bermuda. The group also supplies food-relief organizations.
Its buying scope covers snacks and confectionery, better-for-you products (including vegan and dairy-free lines free of artificial ingredients), wines, spirits and other beverages, and packaged foods suitable for inflight and onboard retail and catering. Brands it has carried include Bubba's, Late July, Chum Fruit Bites, Elma Farms and Torie & Howard. For FMCG manufacturers, AMI Group represents a specialist route into airline catering, onboard retail, cruise, rail and Caribbean distribution channels, actively sourcing innovative snack and beverage products that meet the specific logistical and format requirements of travel catering. With its multi-office footprint spanning North America and Europe and its long-standing relationships across more than 40 airlines and the major cruise lines, the group offers manufacturers a consolidated entry point into onboard catering, duty-free beverage retail and Caribbean island distribution that would otherwise require dozens of separate commercial relationships.
