Beriksson

Beriksson is an importer and distributor of chocolate and many gourmet food items. The family business was founded by chocolate expert Benny Eriksson in 2006 and is based in Sweden. 

The story of Beriksson started following a car accident in 2000 involving Benny Eriksson who was going for his first chocolate test. That day, he discovered his true passion for chocolate and a few years later, Beriksson was launched. 

With time, Beriksson started to extend its product range, offering a variety of gourmet products originating from Vietnam, Gothenburg, Italy, Ecuador, Switzerland, France, etc. The company also has an online shop. 

Beriksson’s clients include restaurants, hotels, cafes and several retailers specialising in the sale of premium products. In fact, the firm has plans to develop a webshop for retailers.

Furthermore, Beriksson also organizes chocolate and liquorice tastings. 

Beriksson’s turnover for 2020 was reported to be €1.25 million.

Nowadays, Beriksson offers products in the following categories:

• Sweet Grocery: chocolate, coffee, tea, etc.
• Savory Grocery: sauces, chips, pasta, etc.
• Drinks: matcha drinks, cola, ice tea, etc. 

Beriksson distributes products from 31 brands, comprising of several award-winning ones. Some of the labels available include (but not limited to) Muzzi, Gardini di L’Artigiano, Guido Castagna, Bernardi, La Perla, Majani, Mathez, Oliva, etc. 

Some of the products and brands are certified and recognised by Ecological, Fairtrade, Direct Trade and Rainforest Alliance. Many of these products are also produced using the slow food principles.
