Established in 1995, Bid Corporation commonly known as Bid corp is a globally known food service group, focused on food service operations. The company is present through its subsidiaries in 5 continents and is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa.

There was a split between Bid corp and Bidvest in 2016 allowing Bid corp to emphasize on its current food service operations.

In April 2017, the firm bought the Spanish foodservice group Guzman Gastronomia and Cuttings. Also, in the same period of time, Bidcorp signed an agreement with Purator, a leading innovator in the bakery, patisserie and chocolate industry. Through this move, Bidcorp aims to increase production and bring more quality ingredients to the African bakers.

After having reported a 9% rise in its full year earnings, the firm decided to sell its UK logistics business to a major global player in August 2018.  

As of August 2018, the firm is on the hunt for further acquisitions despite having established its presence in Portugal, Malaysia and Germany recently.

In fact, the objective of the company is to focus on developing fresh produce, value-add processing and supply chain initiatives by the year 2019 hence promoting real growth.
