Caprabo is a supermarket chain based in Spain since 1959. Caprabo is the oldest supermarket chain in the country and welcomes 200000 customers daily. At present, Caprabo operates 320 supermarkets and an online store. Since 2007, Caprabo is owned by Eroski, a part of Mondragon Corporation. 

Caprabo employs over 7000 people at present. 

In 2020, Caprabo became the first supermarket chain to offer all lotteries in the country.

Caprabo offers products in the following categories:

• Drinks: mineral water, juice, wine, spirits, etc.

• Savory Grocery: oil, pasta, vinegar, snacks, sauces, canned food, etc.

• Sweet Grocery: coffee, biscuits, honey, jam, cereals, etc.

• Dairy: cream, milk, egg, yoghurt, butter, etc.

• Chilled & Fresh Food: fish, ready-meals, charcuterie, etc.

Furthermore, Caprabo also offers products from Eroski’s private labels that include. Many of the products under the parent company’s brands are gluten-free and GMO-free.

• Eroski Basic: a variety of economical products featuring over 450 references like paper napkins, yoghurt, pasta, etc. 

• Eroski Natur: a brand of fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood and meat products.

• Eroski Sannia: a range of products which have less sugar, saturated fat and salt.Products include soup, drinks, breakfast products, etc.

• Eroski Seleqtia: a selection of gourmet products 

• Belle: a brand of cosmetics

Caprabo has been taking measures to reduce wastage. In the case of food wastage, the company has started to reduce formats and units. Furthermore, Caprabo also donates to food banks. The firm has also started to educate customers on how to avoid food wastage. 

Caprabo also opts for the use of recycled materials for its packaging but also for its posters.
