Founded in 1982 by Jean-Paul Renou, Convivio is a catering company which operates in France, focussing on the western region of the country. The group has 37 years of experience and provides tailor made solutions to its clients. Convivio works with 2700 clients.

In the catering sector, Convivio works with clients including colleges, high schools, businesses, elderly people, etc.
Convivio runs 12 central kitchens in France.
Since 2016, Convivio acquired and has been running 3 brasseries-restaurants in France.
Moreover, the firm has expanded by acquiring various businesses such as (but not limited to)Haute Restauration, Bretagne Restauration and Sogerest.
Convivio has its own training school where it trains cooks, chefs and catering workers. The business has developed a professional qualification certificate. 800 people have been trained within a year.
The company announced in 2016, that their brand will be known by only the Convivio name.
In 2019, Convivio achieved a turnover of € 180 million, indicating a rise of 8% in its turnover compared to 2018. The company employs 2600 people currently.

Concerning the sourcing of its products, Convivio concentrates on finding local producers and suppliers who are based near its central kitchens and restaurants. Rather than a central purchasing system, Convivio prefers to trust its own chefs to select the local producers and suppliers while keeping in mind the quality of products.
In fact, the purchasing department comprises of former chefs who maintain constant contact with the local suppliers. Before selecting a supplier or producer, the department will meet up with when in order to assess and audit the company. The products will be checked to ensure that all specifications stipulated by Convivio are respected.
Furthermore, the products are traced throughout the supply chain. Afterwards, negotiations concerning the prices take place. Convivio works with suppliers who keep innovating and providing new products.
Convivio has also been taking sustainable measures across its company. The firm sources local and organic products. Furthermore, it has been reducing waste by allocating its resources effectively. Convivio has reduced its gas and electricity consumption. Its drivers receive an eco-driving training and every 4 years its fleet of vehicles is renewed.
