Couris G. Bros

Couris is an importer of food items which was established in 1924 in Greece. Couris started by producing and selling feta cheese. In 1978, the company expanded its business by importing a range of dairy products from different European countries. Currently, Couris provides 493 references.

The business employs 30 people and achieves a turnover of € 12 million. 

A wide range of products are offered in the following categories:

• Savoury Grocery: canned food, oil, rice, sauces, etc.
• Sweet Grocery: industrial pastries and other products
• Chilled & Fresh Food: mushrooms, pasta, meat, charcuterie, etc.
• Dairy: milk, cheese, cream, butter, etc.

Furthermore, the firm imports a variety of specialty products including products with white or black truffles as well as various Italian products. 

Couris is the exclusive distributor in Greece for different European brands such as Unipasta, Clai, Gracomsa, Mutti, etc. 

The company holds certifications such as ISO 22000:2005 and HACCP certified. 

In order to ensure that the company maintains high quality standards, there are specific selection criteria for suppliers. At present, around 81 suppliers work with Couris. 

For 2021, Couris is looking for products in the following categories:

• Frozen Food: desserts, fish, meat, ready-meals, etc. 
• Savory Grocery: pet food, spices, rice, pasta, cooking sauces, etc. 
• Sweet Grocery: desserts, industrial pastries, breakfast foods, etc.
• Drinks: soft drinks and juices

The company is interested in branded products as well as products for private labels. Moreover, Couris is also looking for ways to reduce packaging. 

Couris has its own fleet of delivery trucks that distributes its products across the country.
