Debuut, founded by Ruud van Rietschalen, is a company that has launched various food service restaurants, bars and coffee shops across the Netherlands. A specialist in the HoReCa sector, Debuut has been in business for over 30 years. Debuut has invested in various startups.Â
Debuut’s success is attributed to standing out and being different from others. This applies to the menu, the design, the location and the concept. Indeed, the company strives to provide unique menus for its different restaurants. Concerning the design, each restaurant is different from the other, even if they operate under the same banner. Location is an important aspect and Debuut is highly selective.Â
Debuut diversifies by opening restaurants featuring different concepts ranging from trendy to classic styles. Some restaurants have been set up in monumental buildings while others enjoy a prime location with an exceptional view.Â
Debuut also recognises that the success of each restaurant depends on its employees.Â

Debuut also manages a business in the hotel sector;Â Hotel de Klok.
Debuut has launched the Debuut HoReCa Academy in 2019. Employees are trained in manager positions, receiving courses from experienced employees in key positions at Debuut as well as from experts. Debuut is collaborating with SVO Food Vocational Training for the courses.Â
Debuut has reached a turnover of € 45 million in 2017, indicating a growth of 10% compared to 2016.Â
The company was nominated for the Best Restyling 2019 award from Entree Awards for the restaurants KEES.Â
