The company was born in 1986. The initial project, To create a radically different distribution network than other group purchasing organisations. At the time, these groups were limited to pooling purchases of national brands. The founders though had the idea to offer bakers-pastry chefs own-brand products to highlight quality and an upscale image. If the bet seemed foolish at the beginning the sustained growth of DGF, since 1986 demonstrates the relevance of this concept.
