Do-it Dutch Organic International Trade

Founded by Poppe Braam in 1991, Do-It is an importer of organic products and ingredients, including a wide range of Italian products. The company is based in the Netherlands and sources a number of products. Furthermore, Do-It is also a co-packer for private labels. 

In addition to distributing on the local market, Do-It exports products to Benelux countries, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, UK, France as well as a large number of countries outside Europe. 

Do-It’s customers include canteens, retailers, food service establishments as well as packers of consumer products. One of its major clients is the organic artisan bakery, De Knollentain. 

Do-It achieves an annual turnover of € 70 million and since 2012, the company has been experiencing a constant growth of 10%. Do-It employs over 70 people. 

The business provides products and ingredients in the following categories:

• Sweet Grocery: sugar, sweeteners, dried fruits, etc. 

• Savory Grocery: flour, rice, grains, nuts, pasta, pulses, etc.

Do-It also provides gluten-free ingredients. 

Concerning the private label business, Do-It provides eco-friendly compostable packaging. The packing facility is BRC certified. Do-It offers 4 different dimensions for packaging. The firm packs products in packages starting from 100 g to 1000 g. Do-It can also pack in paper bags that can carry 5kg. 

Do-It has obtained organic certifications such as U, Skal Bio Controle, Fair Trade IBD, USDA Organic, etc. 

The company has a department for quality control where certified good technologists ensure that all products meet the required standards. 

Do-It imports products from countries like Thailand, Bolivia, India, Brazil, Canada, etc. In case a client cannot find a specific product provided by Do-It, the latter can contact the company. Do-It, with its large list of suppliers and contacts, can try to source the product required. 

Concerning the logistics, Do-It operates a 21000 m2 warehouse that can handle over 15000 pallets.
