Douqué Group

Douque Group was founded in 1895 by J.TH Douque in the Netherlands and specialises in the import of green coffee. The family business has grown over time in 1988, A. Van Weely joined the company and created the Fairtrade Max Havelaar certification. Douque Group imports coffee from around 40 different countries. 

Douque Group acquired Mild Coffee Company which produces Colombian coffee in 2007 and Alessie, a family business producing Brazilian coffee and is well-known in Brazil.  

In 2012, the business took over Mild Coffee Company Huila. 

Douque Group formed the company Wolthers Douque in collaboration with Wolthers. The company serves the North American coffee market. 

Douque Group sources coffee from small coffee planters and co-operatives. The company ensures that regular quality control tests are carried out at different stages of production. In fact, Douque Group has its own Quality Lab. 

Douque Group is certified by Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade Max Havelaar, 4C Association, UTZ and Euro Leaf. Douque Group also holds the ISO 22000 certificate. 

Douque Group also takes care of all the logistics.
