Eurogast

Established in 1965, Eurogast is a catering wholesaler offering its services in the Austrian market. Its headquarters is based in Zams, Austria. The company is a member of ECD, the “European Catering Distributors”.

With regards to its distribution channels, the firm distributes its products to over 45,000 businesses including hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars, caterers, wholesalers, etc. Furthermore, Eurogast operates 19 locations across the country and an e-commerce platform as well. Its products are accessible at its partner GastroFresh’s location as well. 

In the financial year 2019, Eurogast achieved a turnover of €375 million and it currently employs more than 1,600 people. 

Moreover, the enterprise offers a large assortment of goods in different categories such as: 

• Dairy: cheeses, margarines, milk, etc. 
• Chilled & fresh: salads, prepared meals, meat, etc. 
• Frozen: ice creams, seafood, meat, etc. 
• Sweet grocery: honey, chocolates, jams, etc.

• Drinks: syrups, soft drinks, juices, etc. 
• Wine & spirits: wines, gins, champagnes, etc.

Brands such as Nako, Coca Cola, Beefeater, Kengstenberg, Bonduelle, Genius, Felix, Eristoff, Hendrick’s, Knorr and many other popular brands are endorsed by the firm. 

The business developed its own brand under the name “Eurogast” which contains 248 products both in the food and non-food areas. 

Eurogast maintains the highest quality standards as it is certified by IFS. 

Concerning logistics, Eurogast operates its distribution centre and has a fleet of 200 temperature-controlled trucks to conduct deliveries. It is noteworthy that emergency deliveries are available outside opening hours. 

In February 2022, the wholesaler acquired Adeg Zell Am See in order to expand its market share in the Austrian food wholesale trade. Following the acquisition, the firm is expected to record a turnover of €500 million in the financial year ending 2022.
