Eva Ukraine

Operating since 2002, Eva is a drugstore chain which is based in Ukraine. The chain is part of Commerce & Production Corporation OLVIA. 

At present, the firm operates over 1100 stores countrywide as well as an online store which was launched in 2017 and has 43 ordering points that brings in a total of 1500 orders daily. A mobile app was also established in 2019 and only 1 month later, it had 48 000 users, of which 4300 are daily customers.

Additionally, Eva has over 8 million clients.

Since 2014, Eva has been a leader with a 55% market share in the number of customers and 52.8% market share in the quantity of stores since 2016.

Furthermore, Eva provides an assortment of 30 000 references thus creating more options for consumers.

In December 2020, a new store concept designed mainly for shopping malls, named Eva Beauty that offers exclusively beauty products, was launched in the Dnipro shopping mall.

Presently, the firm achieves an annual turnover of €381 million with the dedication and cooperation of more than 12 000 employees. Since the year 2018, the firm occupies the first position with a 62.5% market share in turnover. 

Moreover, Eva won the National Retail Awards Consumer Choice in 2015-2020 through the vote of buyers as well as "Choice of the Year" award in 2018-2020. In 2019, the firm won "Retailer of the Year in drogerie" from the Ukrainian Retail Association.

Products available at Eva are categorised as follows:

• Personal care: makeup, deodorants, shower gels, shampoos, perfumes,  etc
• Household: washing powders, laundry soaps, toilet papers, liquid detergents, etc

Eva provides travel-size products as well.

Brands partnering with Eva such as L’oreal, Unilever, Henkel, Gillette, Persil, Versace, etc,  are imported from China, Poland, Turkey, France and many more.

Moreover, the firm has 51 private brands which consist of 4000 references and some of them are listed below:

• Lingery: This line has been created especially for women as tampons are sold under this name.
• Viv’en Petty: Under this brand, products such as stockings and pantyhose are sold.
• Defile comfort: Stockings are the specialty of this brand.
• Sensi Fly: Pantyhose are available exclusively in this brand.
• Glambee: The products that are available in this brand are eyeliners, mascaras, toned cream, etc
• LCF: Its products include lipsticks, mascaras, nail polish, etc

In 2019, the share of Eva’s private labels quadrupled compared to 2012 and are available in 17 countries worldwide. Moreover, 40% of Eva’s portfolio consists of items from its own brands. In 2020, Eva sold over 100 million units manufactured from its private labels.

In the same year, Viv'en Petty Fashion Tights received the prestigious award of the largest international trade show in the field of private trademarks. The company was also awarded the National Private Label Award in the ‘’Contribution to the development of the product category’’, ‘’The best project of the year’’, ‘’Trademark awareness'’, '’Effective ™’' and many more.

Eva works with more than 350 manufacturers, including over 300 from China which are dealt with by its Chinese representative office that comprises 20 employees who are fluent in the Chinese language and carries out quality control, tendering as well as market analysis.

In regards to logistics, Eva owns 4 logistics centers, situated in Dnipro, Lviv, Odessa and Brovary, hence improving the efficiency of the supply chain.
