FREEMANS CONFECTIONERY SUPPLIES
In 1987, House of Lancaster was formed as a packing company to rework products for Freemans Confectionery, who were wholesaling biscuits and confectionery products.
The owners, Harry and Linda Freeman, eventually incorporated the wholesale business as Freemans Confectionery Supplies Ltd in 1993, and the company has since grown to be one of the country’s leading independent distributors of ambient food products.
House of Lancaster is now the largest dedicated packer of broken and mis-shaped biscuits in the UK, operating 5 days a week in a purpose built, modern packing facility of some 3000 square metres. Remedial work, stripping and repackaging is all carried out within the controls of an audited HACCP quality system to high standard, with full traceability.
Our cash and carry operation has grown along with the wholesale business, and occupies a convenient position at the front of the National Distribution Centre in Bloxwich, with ample parking for cars and vans.
Customers can call in and pick their own order, and then pay either by cash or with the convenience of a credit/debit card payment, and drive back to their premises with a huge selection of cut price goods to sell.
The next generation of the Freemans family now work in the business, the owners' three sons, and their aim is to grow the business further, carrying on the entrepreneurial work of Harry Freeman.
