Founded in 1961 by João Garcia and Arnaldo José Martins Garcia, Garcias is a leading company which specialises in the marketing of wines, spirits, etc. The company is headquartered in Portugal.

Moreover, the business opened its first Cash & Carry in 2012, based in Madeira. Moreover, Garcias continued its expansion, opening several stores in areas such as Portimão in 2015, Évora in 2018, Lagos in 2021, etc. 

With a workforce of 318 employees, the firm achieved a turnover of €72.94 million in 2020. 

Around 15 000 products are available in the wine & spirits category such as wines, vodka, whiskey, etc. 

Furthermore, the firm endorses international brands such as Schnapps from Germany, Chartreuse from France, Arctic from Italy, etc. Local brands such as Beirão d'Honra, Ginja Amar, Regionalarte Poejo, etc, are also available. 

Concerning logistics, the company has around 6 logistic bases across the country and also owns 150 vehicles. Moreover, the facilities extend over a surface area of  20 000 m2. In 2010, the business invested in delegations across the country in order to facilitate the logistical management of goods and in order to comply with delivery deadlines.
