An importer that started operating in 1991 in Czech Republic, Gaston set up its headquarters in Zlin but has quickly expanded and now manages offices in Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Romania and Serbia. Gaston specialises in the import and export of grocery products. 

Gaston imports from Turkey, Peru, India, Ecuador, Thailand, China, Greece and many parts of the world. The firm distributes to clients in 20 countries. While Gaston supplies retail chains mainly, it also delivers to wholesalers, catering businesses and packaging companies. Some of its clients include Albert Hypermarket, Auchan, Globus, Spar, Metro, etc. 

By 2019, Gasto employed 199 people. Between 2016 to 2017, the company has experienced a growth of 14.04% in revenue. 

Frequently awarded for its private labels during the Consumer’s Choice competitions, Gaston has proven, over time, that it still enjoys a notoriety on the market. Surveys and quality tests carried out by the magazine Dtest have shown that Gaston is always ranked high. 

Gaston offers products in the following categories:

• Savory Grocery: oils, vinegars, rice, sauces, pickles, canned foods, etc.

• Sweet Savory: a variety of sweet canned foods.

Gaston also offers speciality products from Italy and Asia. 

Gaston is the exclusive distributor for brands such as Cirio, Valfrutta, Pagani, De Nigris, Zwan, etc.

The business has also developed its private labels which are:

• Giana: a range of canned food including fruits and vegetables.

• Franz Josef Kaiser: a brand offering premium products like oils, vinegars,canned seafood, etc. 

• Asia World: a brand offering Asian Foods such as spices and other speciality foods.
