Founded in 1969 by Ahmed Saied Basamah and based in Saudi Arabia, Goody operates as a multinational company which provides more than 200 different products pertaining to food and beverages. Forming part of the Basamh Trading Group, Goody is one of the leading packaged food companies in Saudi Arabia and also has operations in South Africa and the UAE.

Goody distributes its products to 128 hypermarkets, 2133 supermarkets, 8966 mini-markets, 417 wholesale outlets and 29856 grocery stores. Furthermore, its distributors are based in various countries such as Oman, Canada, Kenya, etc.

In 2018, the firm signed an agreement with the Iraqi National Company, and became the first Saudi business to enter the country in nearly 30 years. Furthermore, Goody entered the UAE market in 2016 by signing a distribution deal with Gulfco.

Goody is also in partnership with the magazine, Destination KSA, and created “Toque of the Town” in order to celebrate the culinary champions of the country.

Moreover, the business has also implemented the Goodyians Program with the aim of making the company a ‘Place To Amaze More’ for its employees.

Goody also manages an interactive platform, Goody Kitchens, which is considered as a successful model in encouraging Saudi female entrepreneurs to make an impact in the society. Furthermore, Goody Online Kitchen Academy provides several training courses in the culinary arts.

With a workforce of 95 employees, the company achieves an annual turnover of € 235.82 million.
