Pomona Group

Founded in 1912 by Max Monnot, Group Pomona is a wholesaler of food items in the HoReCa sector. The business has more than 10,000 references.

In 2021, Group Pomona acquired the wholesaler named DGF.

Group Pomona distributes to schools, retirement homes, commercial catering companies, bakeries, butchers, etc. Groupe Pomona also exports to over 50 countries. 

Furthermore, the company has operations in 2 countries, Spain and Switzerland. Group Pomona operates 190 sites across France. 

Group Pomona reached a turnover of € 3.5 billion in 2020 and employed 10,500 people. Concerning its clientele, the firm serves up to 230,000 customers.

The group operates 8 distribution networks which are (not limited to): 

• TerreAzur: Fruits, vegetables and seafood distribution
• Passion Froid: Frozen, chilled and dairy distribution
• EpiSaveurs:  Grocery, drinks and non-food distribution
• Délice & Création: products for bakers
• Saveurs d’Antoine: Delicatessen
• Relais D’or: Ice-cream and other frozen products

Group Pomona offers products in the following categories:

• Savory Grocery: flavored oil, spices, condiments, etc.
• Sweet Grocery: chocolate, breakfast foods and other products
• Drinks: various types of drinks
• Dairy: cheese, dessert and other products
• Chilled & Fresh Food: vegetables, fruits, cold cuts, meat, etc.
• Frozen Food: ice-cream, desserts, meat, fish, etc.

The business owns regional warehouses which ensure the proper product supply and quality products. There is an export team which manages and handles the shipments, dockside monitoring, preparation of containers and air boxes and other logistics involved. 

Group Pomona takes care of health certificates, certificates of origin, customs documents and other documents necessary for export. 

Moreover, Group Pomona is ISO 22000 certified. There are 72 ISO 9001 certified sites.

Concerning sustainability, Group Pomona makes use of electric vehicles in order to reduce its carbon footprint. All the equipment used for the warehouses are eco-friendly.
