Founded in 1956 by Jean-Noel Bongrain, Groupe Savencia is a manufacturer and distributor of food products in 120 countries. Its headquarters is based in Viroflay, France.
Groupe Savencia has 2 business segments namely:
- Savencia Fromage & Dairy: The 5th largest cheese group and a major player in milk processing, cheese and dairy specialties.
- Savencia Gourmet: An international player in chocolate and premium brands for sweet gastronomy. It also distributes charcuteries and seafood.
Concerning its distribution channels, the business distributes its products to retailers, catering industries, wholesalers, pharmaceutical industries and many more.
Groupe Savencia achieves €6.2 billion in terms of turnover and employs 25,200 people.

With regards to sustainability, Groupe Savencia reduces its carbon footprint by using eggs and egg products from non-cage farming.
