Groupe Holder

Groupe Holder is a french company within the food industry with special focus on bakery and pastry. Headquartered in Marcq-en-Baroeul, France, the company was founded by Francis Holder in 1962. Within years, the bakery, operating under the label, Paul, was supplying clients such as Auchan and Group Accor.

In 1993, Groupe Holder took over Laduree in Paris and started to develop the brand as well. 

In 2002, Groupe Holder  ventured into the international market, opening the first Paul store in the UK. Groupe Holder also partners with Elior to develop the franchise across the world.

Groupe Holder achieves an annual turnover of € 8.9 billion.

The latter now comprises of six companies including Chateau blanc, Panapro, Paul, Ladurée, Panétude-pandéco and IFH.

Its widely known subsidiaries,Paul and Ladurée  encompass bakery, pastry, restaurants and tea salons. The group has marked its presence on the market through more than 620 Paul stores and over 45 Ladurée shops as well as 3 chateau blanc factories.

Today Groupe Holder is present in more than 45 countries around the globe, with over 12500 collaborators. 

Presently, the food service has developed 4 other companies and brands:

• Château Blanc: the firm is involved in producing bread and pastry using traditional savoir-faire. Chateau Blanc comprises of 3 production sites which employ over 400 people.

• Panapro: Since 2007, the company handles all the logistics for the group. Panapro’s total warehousing space is 19000m2. 

• Panétude-pandéco: an artisan decorator operating since 1979. The business has designed the interiors for Paul and Laduree.

• IFH: the group’s training institute which is responsible for training the employees in the various franchises of Groupe Holder.

• Savory Grocery: canned fish

• Frozen Food: desserts, fish, seafood, fruits, vegetables, meat, etc.

• Dairy: cheeses, yogurts, cheese, milk, cream, butter, etc.

• Chilled & Fresh Food: seafood preparation (packaged), packaged fruits and vegetables, poultry products, fruits, vegetables, seafood, etc.

The company is focusing on the dairy and frozen food categories.
