HEB Mexico

HEB Mexico started operating in 1997. The company belongs to H-E-B, a private supermarket chain originally founded by Florence Butt and based in the USA. HEB Mexico offers a wide assortment of food and non-food items.  

A total of 57 stores are managed by the firm and an online shop is also available.

With a workforce of 4500 people, HEB Mexico achieves an annual turnover of € 86.64 million. 

The company’s product categories include:

• Sweet Grocery: chocolate, sweets, gums, cookies, desserts, etc.
• Savory Grocery: oil, spices, bread, tortillas, pet food, rice, pasta, etc. 
• Frozen Food: ice-cream,bread, vegetables, meals, etc.
• Chilled & Fresh Food: meat, seafood, fruits, etc.
• Dairy: cheese, milk, yoghurt, butter, etc.
• Drinks: juices, mineral water, soft drinks, etc
• Wine & spirits: wine, liquor, tequila, etc
• Household: detergents, bleach, soap, etc
• Personal Care: makeup, skincare, face, fragrances, etc. 

In addition to this, HEB Mexico also offers organic, lactose-free, sugar-free and gluten-free products.

Brands like Animalz, Colgate, Nestle, Selecta, etc. can be found in all the stores.

HEB Mexico sells products from HEB’s private labels which include (but not limited):

• HEB: drinks, ready-meals, baby care, etc.
• HEB Supreme: a brand of meat products
• HEB Select: seasonal products

All products sold at HEB Mexico are of high quality. From the origin of the products to the production and transportation methods, each detail is taken into account. 

Furthermore, HEB Mexico sources most of its products from Mexico itself and the rest is imported from the US.

In 2004, the company built a large distribution centre in Mexico and introduced a new way of doing business in the grocery sector. 

With regards to the environment, the company indulges in several measures and takes various initiatives. Some of these are Think Green, Animal Welfare, Sustainable fishing, etc. concerning the community, HEB Mexico has carried out several campaigns and programs, some of which were in the food, education and health sectors.
