Hemmer Alimentos

Hemmer Alimentos is a Brazilian company based in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, which produces and sells various canned foods. In 1915, the entrepreneur Heinrich Hemmer began to elaborate and market sauerkraut (sauerkraut). The raw material was the cabbage, cultivated by it and the transport of the city made in wagon. The Hemmer Company was born, one of the oldest industries in Brazil in the canned food business, now managed by the fifth generation of the founder and denominated Hemmer Alimentos.

The longevity, unusual in the Brazilian scenario, and the solidity of the company, are a consequence of the quality of the products offered to the consumers and the seriousness and dedication with which they work. In the product mix, in addition to the traditional sauerkraut business started by the family more than a hundred years ago, from pickled cucumber and beets and mustard and ketchup lines, Hemmer has sought partnerships to offer novelties to the market. That is how he brought olive oils from Portugal and Spain and launched the balsamic aceto Italian origin. As a result, over the past three years, the portfolio has jumped from 100 to 300 items.
