HM Weihs

Established in 1962, HM Weihs is an importer and distributor of food products across Austria and neighboring countries. It is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. The firm has established its presence in Germany and Czech Republic as well.

It employs up to 50 workers.

Moreover, it imports products from the largest manufacturers in Europe and it also receives at least 25,000 orders per year.

Weih’s customers consist of large retail chains, cash and carry, food service as in billa, euro spar, merkur, hofer, spar, rewe group and many more. 

It provides various products under different categories such as:

• Savory grocery: pasta, olive oil, spices, etc.
• Dairy: cheese, butter, milk, etc.
• Sweet grocery: chocolate, pastries, honey, etc.
• Fresh and chilled: olives, fruits, vegetables, etc.
• Frozen: seafood, duck products, frozen desserts, etc.

The business offers plant-based products such as cheese, milk, butter and many more under different brands like violife, rama, becel, etc.

Furthermore, Weih’s portfolio consist of brands as in:

• Caballero: olives, caper berries, capers, etc.
• Elpozo: serrano, ham, turkey breast, etc.
• Frieslandcampina: cheese and butter.         

In 2015, the company introduced its subsidiary HM Weihs CZ sro for food distribution in the Czech and Slovakian markets. On top of that, in 2017, HM Weihs took over a company known as ‘Wallner’ which sells Austrian confectionery. 

Concerning its logistics solutions, the establishment delivers its products via a fleet of trucks. Its new warehouse, owned by Quehenberger logistics, is based in Loosdorf, Austria. It has 6,200 m² of warehouse space as well as temperature control for confectionery products and sensitive goods. Additionally, HM Weihs is looking forward to constructing a new logistics area.
