Kaufland is a retail chain company in Croatia and in the 2000s, the company Kaufland established branches in Croatia (2001).

It consists of 44 stores. In 2020, it reported a number of more than 3,000 employees and a turnover of  €504 million.

 It offers a variety of products under different categories such as: 

• Sweet grocery: Candy, nutella, chocolate, etc. 
• Savory grocery: Spaghetti, rice, macaroni, etc.
• Fresh and chilled: Fruits, meat, vegetables, etc.
• Frozen: Seafood, vegetables, ready made pizzas, etc.
• Dairy: Milk, butter, cheese, etc.
• Drinks: Soft drinks, juice, water, etc.
• Household: Detergents, kitchen towels, toilet paper, etc.
• Personal care: Conditioner, shampoo, dental care, etc.
• Wine and spirits: Liqueur, Beer, Wine, etc.

 Kaufland offers different products under its private label in various assortments:

• K-favorites: Spaghetti, jam, meat platter, etc.
• K-free(lactose and gluten free): Penne, milk, whipping cream, etc.

• K-classic: Rice, pesto sauce, cooking oil, etc

When it comes to Sustainability, the business is committed to eradicate food waste in raw materials and that by the end of 2022, all their employees should be trained sustainably.

The retail chain also provides an online magazine and a wide range of recipes on its website as well as its Kaufland card which offers special discounts, prize games, coupons, etc.
