Konings
Founded in 1986 in the Netherlands, Konings started out as an importer of cheeses which it sold to cruise ships. After discovering one-person desserts during a visit to a German dairy business, the founders of Konings decided to import these products to the Netherlands, recognising that there would be a demand for them.
Konings has since been importing desserts which it sells to supermarkets as well as hospitals, manufacturers and HoReCa businesses. Furthermore, Konings also collaborates with manufacturers in order to develop products for the private labels of its clients.
In fact, Konings has been supplying ingredients from brands like Mars and Twix to Mc Donald’s branches in New Caledonia. These ingredients are used for their ice-creams.
Whether a business is interested in large quantities or small batches, Konings is able to provide for both.
Some of the products provided in the dairy category include yoghurt, cottage cheese, cheeses, etc. Furthermore, some lactose-free products are also available.
Pertaining to the logistics, Konings manages its own distribution centre and refrigerated trucks. The distribution centre was accredited with the BRC storage and distribution certificate. The vehicles used are Lean, Green and SKAL certified. In order to store the products at the appropriate temperatures, Konings uses a modern software.
