Koninklijke Utermöhlen NV

Founded in 1880 by Carl Friedrich Utermöhlen and based in the Netherlands, Utermöhlen operates in the pharmaceutical sector, offering a wide selection of products. 

The company gained recognition in 1901 when it invented rapid bandage and was awarded  the 'Royal' designation by Queen Wilhelmina. 

Utermöhlen also exports its products across the world, to over 57 countries, through various distributors. Locally, the firm caters to various emergency responders and first aiders. Moreover, its clients also include pharmacies, drugstores, baby stores, etc.  

With a workforce of 24 people, Utermöhlen achieves an annual turnover of around € 5.18 million. 

Moreover, the company owns the brand, HeltiQ, under which it provides products catering to 4 categories:

• First Aid & Sports
• Skin
• Insects
• Pregnant

Utermöhlen also provides services such as supplying products under private labels as well as white label for various customers and categories.

Additionally, all of Utermöhlen’s products are CE marked and the company complies with the CE-MDD 93/42/EEC and ISO 13485 certifications. 

Currently, the enterprise is looking for suppliers who can offer innovative products for first aid or for skin, with the aim of expanding the company’s HeltiQ brand.

Utermöhlen also has its own research and development team which focuses on developing new products as well as existing ones. 

With regards to the environment, the company indulges in several measures such as energy reduction through underfloor heating in its production and light sensors in the offices, using recyclable packaging material, co-developing 100% natural products, etc.
