Korea Tourist Supply Center

Korea Tourist Supply Center has been an importer and supplier in South Korea for 47 years. The firm was incorporated in 1972. It also operates an online store which goes by the name eKTS.

In 1978, 85 hotels invested in the establishment of the first food distributor company (KTS). It has a subsidiary, Korea Food Service, that supplies fresh products to Sejong hotels.

Kobeak Food was created as a subsidiary of Korea Tourist Supply Center, when the firm partnered with Beak & Johnston in Australia in 2005.

The import company is divided in 3 units: 

• KTS food which engages in meat
• KTS involving groceries and drinks
• KTS marine which specialises in seafood products and its R&D center, responsible for developing and bringing new products to the market.

The company’s R&D center which was founded in the year 2006, is located on the second floor of its head office in Guui-dong, Seoul.

Also, 6 branch offices in Suwon, Gangwon, Incheon, Changwon, Ulsan and Taebeak were established in the year 2000-2006. The inauguration of the main warehouse ‘Gonjiam’ was done in the year 2004.

Presently, Korea Tourist Supply Center provides over 3000 product references, including 500 SKUs in the seafood category, and has more than 4000 customers.

Its clients include supermarkets, hotel deli shops, airline catering, restaurants, hotels, and many more. Moreover, Korea Tourist Supply Center sells premium products to over 3000 first grade hotels, restaurants, and franchises in Korea. 

In 2005, KTS merged with B&J to establish its joint venture under the name ‘Kobeak Foods’ which is a meat processing firm (HACCP certified), whose aim is to provide goods with the latest technology.

In the financial year 2018, KTSC generated a turnover of €265 million.

Korea Tourist Supply Center offers products in the following categories:

• Frozen Food: seafood, beef, poultry, etc
• Fresh & Chilled Food: charcuterie, fruit, vegetables, etc
• Dairy: cheese, butter, cream, etc
• Drinks: juice and many others
• Savory Grocery: condiments, spices, oil, etc

Brands such as JBS, IBP, Excel, National Beef, Minh Phu, Downeast, Pacific seafood, Roland, Sugardale, Pidy, etc, collaborate with Korea Tourist Supply Center. The firm imports its goods from 20 countries like the USA, New Zealand and many more.

Products provided by the Korea Tourist Supply Center are HACCP certified.

Concerning its logistics, Korea Tourist Supply Center owns a warehousing unit of 13 200 sq.m, which is located in Gwangju, Gyeonggido, equipped with a dehumidifying system. It has the capacity of storing 400 tons of fresh and frozen products and 1600 tons of ambient goods. The business has its fleet of trucks as well.
