La Sirena, the Spanish specialist in frozen food was founded in 1983 in Terrassa, Spain by Ramona Solé and Josep Mª Cernuda. It was taken over by Opcapita in 2015. The retailer operates 271 stores throughout Spain as well as an online shop.
In 2020, the company achieved a turnover of € 163,3 million. Currently, La Sirena employs over 1200 people.
La Serena offers products in the following categories:
- Frozen Food: ready-meals, fish, ice-cream, seafood, etc.
- Chilled & Fresh Food: fish, sushi, vegetables, etc.
- Savory Grocery: canned foods, sauces, chips, snacks, etc.
