Founded in 1958, Ledo is specialised in the production of industrial ice cream and distribution of frozen foods. Its headquarters is based in Zagreb, Croatia. Previously managed by Fortenova Group, Ledo is now owned by Nomad Foods. Being one of the largest distributors of frozen food, Ledo’s products are present in almost every household. Ledo not only sells in Croatia but has expanded its operations internationally. 

Moreover, the importer’s branch offices are located in Sarajevo and Ljubljana. 

Ledo partnered with world leading companies such as Kroger, Tesco, IFFCO Unipex Dairy, etc. The firm provides its services in the HoReCa sector as well. In addition, the frozen products are tailor made to fit the HoReCa sector's needs.

Additionally, the business started its operations in its new factory in 1965 and this date is still celebrated as “Ledo Day”. 

In the financial year 2020, the firm generated a turnover of € 124.6 million and employed 962 people. 

It is noteworthy that the firm won the Gold Award for its own brand King’s cup at the national competition in the creativity of marketing communications in 2021. Besides, its ice cream Lino Lada was named the best ice cream in the world by the International Ice Cream Consortium in 2019. 

Furthermore, Ledo offers a wide range of products in the frozen food category which includes ice cream, seafood, pastries, dough, ready meals, meat, etc.

Ledo developed its own brands of frozen foods which include (but are not limited to):

• Snjeguljica (Snow White): a brand of ice creams
• Twice: a brand of ice cream
• Ledo: a range of seafood, vegetables, dough, etc. 

Since the enterprise fulfils the quality standards, Ledo acquired certifications such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001:2011, HACCP, Halal, BRC, Kosher, etc.

Pertaining to the logistics solutions, the firm operates 2 distribution centres which serve 6 cross docking warehouses and 20,000 delivery points. The company guarantees delivery within 24 hours. Ledo is fully equipped to ensure product quality as the firm has over 100,000 cooling machines which are spread in strategic locations to attain different market types. Moreover, the business operates 500 refrigerated trucks, equipped with IT equipment to conduct its daily deliveries. 

With regards to the community, the company donated more than 5 tons of finished products to 4 hospitals in Zagreb that take care of needy people.
