Founded in 1966, LSG Sky Chefs is a subsidiary of LSG group which is registered as LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG. In 2001, the LSG group acquired LSG Sky Chefs. It provides food services and its headquarters is based in Brussels, Belgium. 

Concerning its distribution channels, it supplies restaurants, airports, retail stores, global coffee chains, private individuals and many more. 

It operates in 206 airports across 53 countries. 

In 2021, LSG Sky Chefs achieved a turnover of €509.1 million and it currently employs more than 35,000 employees. 

Currently, the company delivers more than 560 million meals per year. 

It offers different services including:

• airport lounge catering 
• aviation security services 
• airline catering 

LSG Sky Chefs also supports services from airlines such as:

• hospitality
• airline consulting
• catering
• last-mile logistics    

In February 2018, LSG Sky Chefs co-founded the Airline Catering Association, which is based in Brussels, Belgium

Furthermore, in 2022, the business acquired a contract with United Parcel Service (UPS) to provide crew catering out of Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska (ANC).

It is noteworthy that its menus are designed by celebrity chefs and it also offers culinary workshops. 

Regarding its logistics solutions, the business also offers home delivery services.
