Lyons Specialty Company

In 1946, William E. Davis SR, acquires Lyons Speciality Company, a company based in the US. The businessman had launched his own company in 1945 under the name Baton Rouge Wholesale Candy which traded in pecan rolls. Following the 1946 acquisition, the new owner decided to merge both companies and since then, operates under the name Lyons Specialty Company.

Lyons Specialty Company is an importer and distributor which trades in candy, groceries, health & beauty products, general merchandise, cleaning products, etc. The clients of the company include convenience stores, small grocery shops and restaurants in Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas. 

Lyons Specialty Company achieved a turnover of € 55.7 million in 2018 and employs 80 people. 

In 1976, Lyons Speciality Company became incorporated. 

In 1983, the firm acquired Dixie Candy Company and in 1994, it took over Wholesale Specialty which supplied personal care and general merchandise to convenience stores and small grocery stores. 

In 2009, Lyons Speciality Company bought the company Ouachita Distribution Company. 

Lyons Speciality Company has been operating a 10200 sq.ft warehouse and by 2015, the business announced that it was time to expand the warehouse to be able to accommodate more products.
