Mayca

Mayca is an importer and wholesaler based in Costa Rica and was established in 1995. The business was acquired by Sysco in 2017. Mayca supplies its clients with food and non-food items. It also has an online shop.

Mayca supplies businesses in the HoReCa sector such as bakeries, restaurants, food franchises, hotels, etc. Some of its clients include Spoon, Pizza Hut, KFC, etc. 

Mayca provides services such as marketing, counselling in terms of products and menu design, training, etc. Furthermore, it started the Mayca Gastronomic Centre where experts develop new recipes.

Mayca also operates 16 own stores under the banner Mayca Auto Servicio. 

Mayca achieves an annual turnover of € 46.6 million and employs 470 people. 

Mayca offers products in the following categories:

• Savory Grocery: oils, canned foods, condiments, etc.
• Sweet Grocery: coffee, tea, chocolate, etc.
• Drinks: spirits, syrups
• Dairy: eggs, cream

Some of the brands available include Kleenex, Monaco, Achiote, Girol, Pan Chi, etc. 

Mayca imports products from countries like the USA, Mexico and other countries. 

Mayca operates its own warehouse of 18000 m2 which can stock dry as well as refrigerated and frozen goods. The facility can handle 13000 pallets.
