It is interesting to know that the restaurant chain also provided vocational training to around 1,500 learners in 2015.

Pertaining to its logistics solutions, Mitchells & Butlers operates its own distribution centre and has partnered with Fleet Operations to manage its deliveries. 

Concerning sustainability, the firm is working towards eliminating its carbon footprint by reducing water wastage in its toilets. Mitchells & Butlers has been able to reduce up to 13.9 million litres of water wastage in 2022. 

With regards to the community, the food service partnered with FareShare to redistribute surplus food to charities and community groups, hence reducing its food waste. In 2020, Mitchells & Butlers distributed over 57,000 meals to needy people. 

The objective of the company is to achieve net zero emissions by 2040 and 50% reduction in food waste by 2030.
