NH Hotel Group is a hotel chain founded by Antonio Catalan in 1978 in Spain. The company’s headquarters is based in Madrid. NH Hotel Group was acquired by Minor Hotels in 2018.
NH Hotel Group operates over 370 hotels in 29 countries including Italy, USA, Mexico, Germany, etc. The company expanded by acquiring other hotel chains such as Chartwell, Astron and Krasnapolsky.

NH Hotel Group achieved a turnover of € 1257 million in 2019, indicating a rise of 5.7% in revenue compared to the previous year.
NH Hotel Group has also been recognised as one of the top 10 European hotel chains and one of the world’s top 30 hotels chains.
NH Hotel Group works with suppliers that are committed to being sustainable, especially regarding the environment. The company ensures that all suppliers take measures to reduce their carbon footprint and use recycled materials.
NH Hotel Group has also taken measures to cut its energy consumption by changing its lighting, air conditioning and heating equipment and investing in new technologies. Furthermore, all furniture which will no longer be used by the group after the renovation of hotels is donated to charities and NGOs.
NH Hotel Group also supports different NGOs. For instance, the firm developed a hotel-school in Ethiopia with Manos Unidas and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
