Founded in 1984, Francois Prely launched the company France Restauration Rapide, a business specialising in food service in France. The company started operating the franchise Eat Parade. In 1986, a new franchise, Patapain was launched in France.
Patapain diversified by introducing new menus and in 2011 the Patapain Traiteur, a catering service, was launched.
In 2016, Patapain launched Kube, a new food service concept in Noyers sur Cher.
At present, Patapain consists of 51 restaurants across France. People can also order online.
There are 900 people employed by Patapain.
Patapain offers a wide variety of products on their menu in their restaurants including breakfast, lunch and tea time options.
The menu includes salads, breads, pastries, ready-meals, appetizers, hot & cold beverages, etc.
Patapain chooses to work with artisans, suppliers and professionals within the region.
The company has decided that by 2026, it will source poultry only from businesses that abide by the European Chicken Commitment. By 2025, Patapain will only source free-range eggs.
Patapain is also an enterprise that participates in community life and also works with charities like the Red Cross, Entreprise Solidaire Des Banques Alimentaires, Les Restaurants Du Coeur, etc.
