PICO FOOD
Founded in 1968, Pico Food is an importer of products in the confectionery, snack and food sectors. The firm has operations in Germany and in over 20 other countries. Initially known as Schwarzwälder Dauerbackwaren when it started, the company was transformed into Schwarzwälder Lebensmittelvertriebs in 1998 then to Pico Food in 2004. Currently, it is headquartered in Tamm.
Furthermore, in 2007, Pico Food acquired Alfred Vest & Co. GmbH and its cult candy Muh-Muhs.
Alongside a workforce of 12 people, Pico Food achieves an annual turnover of €11.9 million.
A variety of items are offered in the following categories:
- Savory Grocery: crackers, snacks
- Sweet Grocery: cakes, chocolate, sweets, etc
Pico Food works with several brands including Reese’s, Hershey’s, PB King, etc. These are imported from Spain, France, UK, Italy and many other countries.
Being one of the market leaders in the soft caramel segment, Pico Food owns a private label named Original Sahne Muh-Muhs Toffees which manufactures a range of toffees and soft caramels.
