Prima Pet Premium

Founded in 1999, Prima Pet Premium is an importer and distributor of pet food. It is headquartered in Tampere, Finland. 

With regards to its distribution channels, the business supplies veterinary clinics, veterinarians, private individuals, pet shops, etc. 

It achieves a turnover of €40 million and it has a dedicated team of 60 employees.

Prima Pet Premium offers a selection of products in the pet food category including an extensive range of cat and dog food.    

Its private labels consists of brands like(non-exhaustive list):

• PrimaCat: a range of  cat food. 
• Hau-hau Champion: a range of dog food. 
• Brit: food for dogs and cats. 
• Carnilove: food for dogs and cats. 

Moreover, Prima Pet Premium provides a range of gluten-free foods which is known as ‘The Brit Veterinary Diet.’

The company also manufactures frozen raw food and dried dog treats. In 2023, it plans to manufacture dry food in its new factory situated at Pirkanmaa. 

Prima Pet Premium is also part of the Czech VAFO group which is a leading Czech producer of premium and super-premium pet food, snacks and supplements for dogs, cats and other small animals. It has invested €15 million to build the factory located in Nokia, Finland. 

Concerning its logistics solutions, the company operates its own warehouses and delivers its products by its own means of transport.
