Restel is a food service company based in Finland. The company operates several international franchises in Finland. Currently, Restel operates around 200 food service establishments. Furthermore, Restel used to operate around 40 hotels and the hotel business was acquired by Scandic.

Restel’s food service activities are divided in 3 sectors:

• Restaurants & Bars: various international franchises 

• Food & Events: food service located in arenas and centres.

• Individual Restaurants

Restel operates different international food service franchises in Finland including Taco Bell, Burger King, O’Leary, Hemingway’s, etc. 

Restel also operates several individual restaurants such as Sampo, Isey Skyr Bar, Mestaritalli, etc. 

Restel reached a turnover of € 215.1 million in 2018 and employed 1800 people. 

Restel uses local products and opts for free-range eggs. 

Restel aims to be sustainable and has taken several measures pertaining to food wastage, In order to reduce food waste. Restel purchases ingredients according to the season. Furthermore, the company also offers left-over food at a lower price through the application ResQ. 

Restel reduced plastic by offering alternative materials for its packaging. The business also uses recycled materials.
