Rh Amar

Founded in 1945 in the UK by Raoul Amar, RH Amar is an importer, wholesaler and distributor of premium grocery products. The family business offers over 1200 references from over 40 brands. In 2021, the firm launched its e-commerce website.

To ensure that all brands it offers are successful in the UK, RH Amar provides marketing, brand management and category management as well as logistics and IT solutions. 

RH Amar distributes its products to clients such as retailers, cash & carry, food service businesses, etc. 

Alongside a workforce of 60 people,  RH Amar achieved a turnover of around €69 million in 2020. 

In 2022, RH Amar was named Foodservice Supplier of the Year at the annual Confex Wholesale trade awards.

RH Amar provides products in the following categories:

• Savory Grocery: pickles, baby food, canned food, spices, etc.
• Sweet Grocery: confectionery, tea, coffee, sweet canned foods, etc.

Its portfolio also includes various free-from items. 

Some of the brands the company offers include Candy Kittens, Kings, Cafedirect, Crespo, Nando’s, etc. 

Moreover, RH Amar has developed its own labels which are:

• Cooks & Co: a range of sauces, dips, oils, canned foods, etc.
• Mary Berry’s: a uk-leading brand offering a variety of premium dressings 
• Camp: a range of baking products 
• The Original Waffle Company: a range of Belgian waffles

The business imports its references from approximately 25 countries including Japan and Germany. Additionally, the company has also been providing a large number of UK brands. 

Furthermore, RH Amar is BRC certified.

Concerning logistics, RH Amar runs a warehouse in High Wycombe, a strategic location enabling the firm to deliver its products across the country.
