Sephora, a chain of cosmetics stores, was established in 1970 by Dominique Mandonnaud. Its headquarters is based in Boulogne Billancourt, France. It has operated as a subsidiary of LVMH since 1997. Sephora grew by acquiring 85 stores of the perfume chain, Marie-Jeanne Godard.

Moreover, the firm has expanded by opening 332 stores across the country and a total of 2700 stores in 35 countries worldwide as well as an online shop.

Sephora offers services such as virtual beauty consultations, brow wax, online makeup classes as well as personal shoppers.

In 2020, Sephora achieved a turnover of €316 million.

Sephora has been recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers in 2018, 2019, and 2020 and scored 100% on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.

Additionally, Sephora also supplies various vegan and organic products. Sephora has also announced that by the end of 2020, all the products from its Sephora Collection skincare line and its new foundations will be developed with more than 90% of natural ingredients.

Famous brands such as Dior, Chanel, Guerlain, Armani, Anastasia Beverly Hills and Azzaro, which are imported from Italy, USA, UK, etc, are available in all of Sephora’s outlets.
