Szega Foods is a Hungarian food importer, wholesaler, and retailer headquartered in Diósd with over 25 years of operational history dating back to 1994. The company operates across four main divisions: retail, trade (wholesale and distribution), production, and export.

Retail Operations: Szega Retail operates two premium gourmet supermarket locations in Budapest, including its flagship 500 m² store in Budagyöngye Shopping Center. The stores specialize in high-quality dairy products, imported goods, fresh bakery items, charcuterie, and prepared food offerings with an integrated mini bistro.

Wholesale & Distribution: As a major distributor, Szega supplies over 200 trading chains and grocery store chains including Tesco, Spar, Metro, Coop, Auchan, CBA, and Real. The company distributes premium dairy products, frozen foods, chilled goods, confectionery, and ambient grocery items sourced from approximately 15 European countries.

Product Portfolio: Szega offers over 3,000 product references across multiple categories including dairy (cheeses, yogurts, butter), frozen and chilled foods, bakery products, and ambient groceries. The company represents more than 150 international producers in Hungary and has developed its own private label products, including the Vegart brand of plant-based dairy alternatives launched to meet increasing consumer demand. 

Production Facilities: Szega operates a cheese dicing, slicing, and EU-stamping facility in Diosd (established 2010) and dairy production operations in Kunszentmarton (since 2018) through subsidiary companies.

Export & International Presence: The company conducts significant export activities through subsidiaries and partner companies in Croatia, Romania, and surrounding regional markets, while maintaining a strong domestic Hungarian market presence.
