Founded in 2004 by Khaled Alotaibi and Abdulaziz Al Loughani in Kuwait, Talabat is an online retailer specialising in the delivery of millions of food orders. Its headquarters is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

Talabat is part of Delivery Hero, the global leader in online food delivery and q-commerce. 

The online ordering platform recorded 2 million new app downloads in 2021 and has over 19,000 restaurant partners across 7 emirates. Its business partners include Burger King, Subway, Texas Chicken, PizzaExpress, Choithrams, Aswaaq Supermarket, 800 Pharmacy, Viva Supermarket, etc. 

Talabat achieves an annual turnover of €575 million and employs more than 8,630 people. Moreover, the business witnessed more than 60% year on year increase in its orders and 30% growth in its customer base. 

The food delivery business works with over 27,000 brands and almost 50,000 branches. Moreover, the e-retailer offers delivery service in the UAE within 30 minutes or less. 

Pertaining to its logistics solutions, Talabat conducts deliveries through motorcycles across the UAE, and range more than 18,000Drivers.

In 2020, Talabat opened it's own grocery darkstores network. With a steady growth in store count, tmart is now over 24% market share e-com in UAE (Nielsen), and delivers almost 1m orders a month.
