The Body Shop Switzerland is a beauty retailer which opened its first shop in Switzerland in 1983. The first Body Shop was founded in 1976 in the UK.
By early 2019, the company employed 160 persons. The Body Shop Switzerland also won the Global Shea Alliance Award in 2015.

The Body Shop Switzerland has been a pioneer that took many measures that were adopted by the country. In 2002, it became the first company in Switzerland to label itself as CO2-neutral. The company also purchased 28.21 hectares of forest in the Jura as a nature reserve for the next 99 years.
The company took the first step by publicly discourage animal testing. In fact, in 2013, The Body Shop played a great part in encouraging the European Union to ban animal-tested products in the EU countries.
