Unil

Established in 2003, Unil is an importer and distributor of food and non-food products. Its headquarters is based in Oslo, Norway. Unil operates as a subsidiary of the wholesaling company, Norgesgruppen. 

Concerning its distribution channels, the business distributes its products to about 18,000 catering companies and 1,800 retail chains. 

In the financial year 2021, Unil achieved a turnover of € 911 million and employed 192 people. 

Furthermore, the importer offers over 4,000 references in the following categories: 

• Savoury grocery: canned goods, snacks, vinegar, etc. 
• Sweet grocery: chocolates, nuts, jams, etc.

Additionally, the company maintains the highest quality standards as it is certified by Fairtrade, FSC, MSC, Nordic Ecolabel, etc. 

Pertaining to its logistics solutions, Unil operates an automated high-bay warehouse which is being developed further by Swisslog in 2022. 

With regards to sustainability, the firm is working towards reducing the use of plastic packaging by 20%.
