Unilever France

Established in 1900, Unilever France is a co-packer which has been positioned number one in the categories deodorants, skin cleansers and mayonnaise. Its headquarters is based in Rueil-Malmaison, France. The company is a subsidiary of the British multinational consumer goods company, Unilever plc. 

The business operates 6 factories spread across the country. 

In the financial year 2021, Unilever France achieved a turnover of €2 billion and currently employs 2,200 people. 

Brands such as Dove, Magnum, Omo, Axe, Grom, Domestos, Ciff, Signal, Rexona, Solero, Skip, Sun, Love Beauty & Planet and many others are endorsed by the firm.  

Unilever France maintains the highest quality standards as it is certified by IFRA and the European Union Cosmetics Regulation. 

In October 2020, Unilever France partnered with Mutual Logistics to handle its logistics operations for the south of France for its ice cream brands. 

In March 2021, the firm decided to close the soup factory in France as there was a flagging local demand for ready made products. Moreover, Unilever’s sales of soup in France decreased by 26% from 2012 to 2019. 

Moreover, in April 2022, the enterprise started using AL, a tool focused on data collection in order to optimise its portfolio of brands and products. 

With regards to sustainability, the company inaugurated its new headquarters in 2015 which is the largest positive energy tertiary operation in France. The new building produces more energy than it consumes through the alluvial water table and the photovoltaic panels found on the roof.
