Wienerwald

Established in 1955 by Friedrich Jahn, Wienerwald is a German chain of franchised fast food restaurants. Its headquarters is based in Hildesheim, Germany. The company previously had operations in Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the United States but is now left with locations in Germany and Egypt. 

Presently, the business operates 5 restaurants in Germany and 3 in Egypt. 

Wienerwald achieves an annual turnover of more than €5 million and employs over 25 people. 

Moreover, the company offers a variety of products in the following categories:

• Chilled & fresh: ready meals. 
• Drinks: water and juices. 

The business developed its own brand known as "Wienerwald Spritz” which features a range of lemonades. 

Concerning sustainability, Wienerwald collaborates with local producers mainly in order to shorten the supply chain.

The company is opening the first new Wienerwald in the Upper Harz Mountains in 2023.
