Wihuri Metro tukku was created in 1960 when the founders Aarnio and Wihuri merged their businesses to form the Wihuri Group. The company, headquartered in Finland, is one of the leading businesses of the country as well as the second biggest wholesaler in Finland. Wihuri Metro serves around 300,000 retailers and foodservice across the country. 

Moreover, the firm, in collaboration with Horeca, is the sole wine distributor for that brand in Finland.

The company owns its private label, Metro, under which a range of products such as vegetables, fruits, frozen food, etc, are offered. 

With regards to logistics, the group owns a logistics center in Viinikkala, Vantaa as well as one in the K3 Logistics business area.
