Hind limb from own 100% Iberian pigs selected from birth. The first stage of his life takes place on our farm, feeding on natural cereals crafted in our facilities to a weight between 40kg and 50kg, when they access the meadows. In them, they enjoy an exquisite feeding composed of this selection of cereals as well as grasses, tubers, roots, and acorns; reaching between 90kg and 100kg in early October when the montanera begins, a time when the acorns fall and constitute their only feed until they reach an approximate weight of 180kg as an adult.

These pieces, due to the 100% Iberian breed that characterizes them and their exquisite diet, have an elongated and stylized cane with a golden and fluid fat on the outside, while the inside shows a pink and melting appearance that floods the mouth with intense and prolonged nuances. In our 100% Iberian acorn-fed “Pata Negra” ham we discover a ruby red shade and a high percentage of oleic acid which helps to maintain an an adequate level of cholesterol in the blood, in addition to being rich in protein, vitamin B1, iron, zinc, magnesium, acid folic acid, and vitamin E (excellent antioxidant).

In the nose, we recognize intense and pleasant aromas exclusive to 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham, typical of its character and personality.

In the mouth we appreciate an intense and persistent taste with the characteristic sweetness of BEHER’s 100% Iberian Acorn-fed Ham Oro due to a reduction in salting time and long maturation, achieving a healthier and tastier product, pleasant for all palates.
