ARISTOCRATICO Valpolicella Ripasso DOC
ARISTOCRATICO Valpolicella Ripasso DOC
T E R R O I R : Ripasso wine, like Amarone, is from the Valpolicella zone located north of Verona in the Veneto region of Italy. Its climate is mainly mild and not overly wet, not even in winter. The Lessini mountains protect it from the cold northerly winds and its south-facing position creates a Mediterranean-style microclimate. The geology and climate of the Valpolicella region are at the heart of its unique wines and winemaking tradition. W I N E : Aristocratico Ripasso is originated from vines trained on the traditional pergola system. At the end of the winter, after the first fermentation process, the wine is re-fermented on the skins of Amarone for approximately 10 days. The bouquet is characterized by spicy aromas with notes of red fruit. Full bodied, with cherry flavors.
